Texas cities dominated, taking four of the Top 5 positions and nine of the Top 25. Texas employers were responsible for one of every five U.S. jobs created from June 2010 to June 2011. The cities have benefited from a low reliance on durable goods manufacturing, low business costs, a favorable business climate, the consolidation of military bases, renewed trade with Mexico and South America, and ongoing energy exploration and alternative fuels research.
